The historic Old Town Theater is located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia at 815 1/2 King Street. 
In March 1914, two enterprising entertainers, Reed & Steele walked into the Alexandria city offices and filed a permit to build a theater at 815 1/2 King Street. Ninety days later they opened the Richmond Theater featuring silent movies and vaudeville shows. The theater has stood the test of time and seen the city through all of its changes over the years, meanwhile the theater too underwent many changes along the way. It has now been restored and remodeled, shining brighter than the day it first opened. During the remodel there were many historical gems and artifacts uncovered, including the pressed tin from 1914 spread all through out the theater. Also discovered was a grand staircase built in 1914 and hidden on all building plans since the 1930's. The theater is closing in on its Centennial Birthday (and there will definitely be a celebration to be had, so be sure to check back as it gets closer). One hundred years old and still producing quality entertainment that goes back to its roots. The team is very proud of the building and its history, stop by to say hello and enjoy a complimentary tour. These can also be setup ahead of time for individuals or groups.
